Aveley Medical Centre is run by a partnership of three Doctors. When you register with the practice you may see any of the Doctors in the partnership. One benefit of a partnership is that you have access to a doctor even if the one you normally see is on holiday or unavailable. The surgery is fully accessible to wheelchairs via a ramp, along with toilet facilities for the disabled. On arrival please ask for assistance if required We at Aveley Medical Centre intend this web-site to be a useful resource to aid you in making best use of our varied services. We aim to be as easy to access as possible, and offer contact via telephone, e-mail or on the desk. It is now possible to request repeat medication, check clinic times, contact numbers and services offered, and access some health advice via this site. Currently we have 3 full-time doctors, 4 nurses, and 2 new (to England) GP's from Spain who will be taking an increasing part in seeing patients at the surgery, plus a health-care assistant, and visitors such as midwives, dieticians etc. On arrival at the surgery, you need to check-in at the desk so we know who is here. If you are here for a doctor or nurses appointment, you will be called via the illuminated sign-board over the reception desk. There is also a self-check-in system via the touch screen on the desk. Aveley Medical Centre operates a Zero Tolerance policy. This means we do not accommodate any form of abuse. There is no place for violence, bad language, discrimination or harassment on any grounds - race or ethnicity, gender, sexual, disability, religion or age. We endeavor to continue to work to create an environment in which all individuals feel valued and in which differences are recognized and fully utilized in delivery service of best practice. Should there be no appointment available and your clinical need is urgent, there are emergency appointments available everyday.
